A 63-year-old Hayward man was charged with murder Thursday for the fatal shooting of his 59-year-old brother at their family’s home on Tuesday morning, police said.
Anthony Maurice Williams is accused of fatally shooting his brother, Albert Williams, at the home they shared with their parents, in the 27000 block of Eucalyptus Court just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.
Albert Williams was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the shooting.
Anthony Williams was arrested by detectives at the crime scene and the gun that he allegedly used was recovered, according to police.
Authorities haven’t disclosed a motive for the fatal shooting.
Anthony Williams was arraigned on the murder charge, as well as a gun enhancement, at Alameda County Superior Court in Hayward this afternoon.
