A 60-year-old man from New Zealand was struck and killed by a motorcyclist near San Francisco’s Union Square on Monday afternoon, according to police.
The pedestrian, identified by the medical examiner’s office as William Tims, a resident of Hastings, New Zealand, was one of two people struck by the motorcyclist in a collision reported at 4:08 p.m. at Stockton and Geary streets.
The second pedestrian, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Police said a 32-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide that hit the pedestrians.
No other information about the case, including whether the motorcyclist was cited or arrested, was immediately available from police.
