A teen turned himself in to authorities Saturday after he allegedly stole clothing and soda from a high school student store in Rohnert Park, according to police.
Police said officers responded to reports of a burglary at Rancho Cotate High School located at 5450 Snyder Lane shortly after 8:30 a.m.
School staff told officers the campus store had a broken window and clothing and soda had been stolen.
According to police, some of the items had been thrown on the ground near the shop, and others discarded at the sports fields nearby.
Police said during the investigation, dried blood was found on the window blinds in the store as well as on some of the jackets outside.
Officers collected samples of the blood to possibly assist in locating a suspect.
Later that day, a 16-year-old boy turned himself into police and was arrested on suspicion of burglary, before being released to his parents.
Police said the boy did not have any injuries indicating the blood found at the scene belonged to him, and that there are likely two or three other suspects that were involved in the break in.
Anyone who many have information on the outstanding suspects is asked to contact the Rohnert Park police at (707) 584-2600.
