SF fire truck strikes pedestrian

A pedestrian was hit by a San Francisco Fire Department truck as it was responding to an emergency Thursday after he jumped in front of it, police said Friday.

Police responded at 12:43 p.m. to Sixth and Market streets where officers found a victim suffering from a head injury not considered life-threatening. The victim was taken to a hospital.

The victim jumped out from between two cars into the path of the truck, according to police.
