A single shot was fired at the officers while they were walking in the vicinity of Watts Street and Park Avenue around 8:30 p.m., Chief Jennifer Tejada and city officials said via Twitter.
The officers were not injured, but investigators found a 9mm round in a nearby wall, Tejada said.
