San Jose man drowns at Tunitas Creek beach

A San Jose man drowned at a beach in unincorporated San Mateo County early Saturday morning according to the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff’s officials said deputies were dispatched around 3 a.m. to Tunitas Creek beach on reports of a possible drowning and upon arrival found the victim, a 34-year-old man, lying on the beach.

According to sheriff’s officials, the victim was at the beach with his friends and family and had went wading knee-deep into the water when a wave knocked him down and pulled him further into the water.
