Around 2 a.m., officers responded to a bar in the 900 block of Geary Street, according to police.
Officers learned patrons leaving a bar had become involved in a physical fight. The dispute had subsided when a car allegedly pulled up to the area, police said.
UPDATE 7/18 Victim in Geary Street fatal shooting identified.A suspect then got out of the car and fired several shots, according to police.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
Information about the suspect or the suspect vehicle was not immediately available.
