Woman allegedly attacks cop during DUI arrest

A woman allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in South San Francisco on Saturday crashed into another vehicle, causing that motorist to suffer injuries, police said.

The suspect, identified by police as 46-year-old Patricia Webster, also allegedly assaulted an officer and was uncooperative during sobriety tests conducted after the head-on crash.

Webster was driving her vehicle along Marina Boulevard at 9:52 p.m. Saturday when she was involved in the initial crash, according to police.

Webster did not suffer injuries, but the other driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police allege that Webster was determined to be intoxicated and grew increasingly agitated during a series of sobriety tests. She allegedly assaulted an officer before she was taken into custody.

Webster was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI, battery on an officer and obstructing or delaying an investigation, police said. She was booked into Maguire Correctional Facility.
