CHP saves woman choking at In-N-Out

An alert California Highway Patrol officer helped save a 65-year-old woman who was choking at a Rohnert Park fast food restaurant Friday, CHP officials said.

Around 11:20 an officer was eating lunch at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant at 5145 Redwood Drive, according to CHP officials.

There, he noticed a woman who appeared to be in distress.

When the officer realized the woman was choking, he quickly got out of his seat to assist her.

The officer performed at least five abdominal thrusts and was able to help dislodge what was obstructing her breathing. After that, the woman was able to regain her breath.

The officer, who has been identified as Officer K. Enger, is no stranger to saving lives.

Last year, Enger received recognition after he helped save a wayward pig that was found lying in the middle of the road.
