An elderly woman was pushed to the ground and had her purse stolen while getting off a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus in The City’s Bayview District on Monday night, police said.
The robbery was reported at about 9 p.m. in the area of Third Street and Paul Avenue.
As the 81-year-old victim was getting off the bus, the suspect pushed her from behind, causing her to fall to the ground, according to police.
The suspect then took the woman’s purse and fled. He remains at large this morning and no detailed description of him was immediately available.
The woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
