A 34-year-old man was fatally shot near San Francisco State University early Saturday morning, police said.
The shooting was reported at 12:18 a.m. Saturday in the area of Lake Merced and Font boulevards.
The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as San Francisco resident Thanh Tam Nguyen, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival there, according to police.
No arrest has been made in the case. Police said the suspected shooter is believed to be a man in his early to mid 20s, but no detailed description was immediately available.
