A 16-year-old girl was killed in downtown Oakland Tuesday evening in a shooting that also wounded three other victims, according to police.
The shooting was reported at 5:41 p.m. in the vicinity of 13th and Franklin streets.
Police had said there were a total of six victims, male and female, with ages ranging from their mid-teens to early 20s – but they have since clarified that there were only four victims, three of whom were listed in stable condition as of 9 p.m.
Police say a vigil for a 2014 Salinas drowning victim was taking place nearby at 14th Street and Broadway at the time of the shooting.
