Police arrested a 28-year-old man Wednesday night in San Ramon on suspicion of sexually assaulting a Lyft driver, police said Thursday.
Peter Voss of San Ramon was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery and public drunkenness shortly after the victim called police at 10:30 p.m. from the parking lot of a shopping center off of Alcosta Boulevard.
During a brief Lyft ride that began in San Ramon, Voss allegedly made several suggestive comments toward the victim, who told Voss to stop, according to police.
Voss continued his advances and then allegedly sexually assaulted the ride-booking service driver.
The driver pulled into the parking lot, told Voss to get out of the vehicle and called police.
Responding officers found Voss urinating in the parking lot and the victim identified him as the suspect in the assault, according to police.
Voss was booked into the county jail in Martinez.
