Bottlerock worker dies in accident

A production worker at the BottleRock festival site in Napa was killed in an industrial accident Tuesday, according to firefighters.

The Napa Fire Department announced via Twitter at 6:43 p.m. that crews had responded to the Napa Valley Expo, which is listed at 575 Third Street.

Firefighters initially said the worker was injured while dismantling a stage, but later clarified that he’d been breaking down a VIP lounge area.

The victim has been identified only as a 35-year-old man working for Top Productions, in Richmond. Further details were not immediately available.
