Pearl Pinson search in Jenner called off

A search in Jenner for a missing 15-year-old girl from Vallejo ended Saturday afternoon without any indication the girl is there, sheriff’s officials said Sunday.

The search for Pearl Pinson concluded at 3 p.m. Saturday in Jenner, an unincorporated community in Sonoma County.

Authorities did not find anything in Jenner to lead them to believe that Pinson is there.

Authorities do not plan to search Sunday, but they will be following up on future leads, according to sheriff’s officials.

Pinson was allegedly kidnapped on Thursday from Vallejo by 19-year-old Vallejo resident Fernando Castro.

Castro was killed Thursday in Santa Barbara County in a shootout with deputies.

Authorities have been searching for Pinson from Solano County to Santa Barbara, but Santa Barbara County sheriff’s officials do not believe she is in the area.
