A 52-year-old motorcyclist died Friday night after a traffic collision in San Francisco’s Mission District, police said today.
At 9:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision near 16th and Harrison streets, according to police.
Officers learned a man was riding his motorcycle west on 16th Street. At the same time, a 47-year-old man was driving a minivan east on 16th Street, police said.
UPDATE 5/24 Motorcyclist killed in Mission crash identified.When the minivan made a left turn at Harrison Street, the motorcycle collided with the minivan, according to police.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to a hospital with no pulse. He was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the minivan was not arrested, police said.
