Three officers with the Oakland Police Department have been placed on paid administrative leave as a result of a sexual misconduct investigation, a spokeswoman for the department said in a statement Wednesday.
Officer Johnna Watson said:
“The Oakland Police Department will not tolerate misconduct of any kind from its employees. … The Oakland Police Department holds all employees accountable for their actions on and off duty.”
Swift, fair and objective internal investigations are a priority for the department, according to Watson.
Further details about the investigation, including the names of the officers, could not immediately be confirmed.
