California Highway Patrol officers talked a man off the edge of a freeway overpass in San Francisco Tuesday night, CHP officials said.
The man was found hanging off the edge of Interstate Highway 80 at 7:45 p.m., according to the CHP. He was holding on to the guardrail with his feet dangling from the long drop.
He didn’t speak English well so a Spanish-speaking officer was called in. That officers and crisis negotiators managed to talk him into climbing back onto the highway.
The man was unharmed, according to the CHP.
