Bicyclist shot along Lake Merritt identified
A bicyclist killed in a shooting early Saturday morning along the east shore of Oakland's Lake Merritt was identified as a recent arrival to the Bay Area.

Ernesto Lora Jr., 29, of Oakland was killed as he rode his bike in the 2000 block of Lakeshore Avenue at about 12:40 a.m., according to police.
Lora was found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said Lora had just moved to Oakland from Texas at the beginning of the year.
No arrests have been made in the case and police have provided no description of a possible suspect or motive.
