Man rescued from Ocean Beach surf

A week after two boys were lost in the surf off Ocean Beach in San Francisco, a 25-year-old man was rescued Saturday evening in the same area, fire officials said.

San Francisco firefighters reported the rescue on Twitter at 6:13 p.m. south of the Cliff House restaurant at 1090 Point Lobos Ave.

The man was taken to a hospital for observation. Fire officials said no other information was available.
