A man was killed when he was stuck by an Amtrak train in Suisun City Thursday morning, a police sergeant said.
The pedestrian was hit by a westbound Capitol Corridor commuter train around 8 a.m. on Railroad Avenue between Worley Road and Sunset Avenue, Suisun City police Sgt. Jeff Henderson said.
The incident is under investigation by the Union Pacific Police Department, Henderson said.
Witnesses said the man appeared to run in front of the train, Henderson said.
