Father allegedly stabbed by son identified

A man fatally stabbed, allegedly by his son, at a mobile home park in San Jose on Wednesday night has been identified as 68-year-old Ronald McKenna, police said Thursday.

The suspect, 43-year-old Jason McKenna, was arrested in connection with his father’s death and was booked into Santa Clara County Jail, where he is being held without bail, according to police.

Officers had responded to a report of a person stabbed at a mobile home park in the 700 block of Mill Stream Drive shortly after 9 p.m., police said.

Responding officers found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was identified as the victim’s adult son, who was taken into custody, police said.

There are no other suspects wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing, according to police.

Wednesday’s incident marks the city’s third homicide in less than a week.

On Monday night, 24-year-old Carlos Silvestre Soto Ojeda was fatally shot in the 2700 block of Sand Point Drive near the Eastridge Center shopping mall, police said.

On Saturday evening, 18-year-old Cruz Antonio Castro was killed in a drive-by shooting in the 10000 block of Lyndale Avenue, according to police.
