The chase began in Oakland around 8:50 p.m. and ended in Pleasant Hill around 9:15 p.m.
The suspect was arrested with the assistance of a K9 unit, according to the CHP.
Officers say the suspect will be taken to a hospital for medical treatment before getting booked into jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
