A seal spotted Friday afternoon on westbound Interstate Highway 580 at the west end of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge in Marin County is back in San Francisco Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The seal was first reported at about 2:10 p.m. and had reportedly stopped multiple vehicles.
CHP officers did not find a seal when they responded to the area and believe the people who stopped ushered the animal back into the bay, CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said.
