Around 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of a traffic collision near the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Noriega Street, according to police.
A 69-year-old woman was driving a light colored, four-door sedan, when a pedestrian ran out in front of her vehicle, police said.
The woman’s vehicle struck the victim, who was described as a man between 70 and 80 years old.
The victim suffered head trauma and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver was not arrested.
