Monterey County sheriff’s officials and others will celebrate the accomplishments of eight inmates on Thursday in Salinas.
The celebration will start at 10 a.m. at the county jail rehabilitation center at 1414 Natividad Road.

“These types of programs give us a sense of accomplishment and hope for a better future,” one inmate said in a statement.
