San Francisco Municipal Railway service on the J-Church and N-Judah lines will be affected Sunday through Tuesday because of emergency repairs in an area where a sinkhole was initially reported New Year’s Eve, Muni officials said.
Crews will be making sewer and sinkhole repairs on Church Street between 22nd and 24th streets, requiring bus shuttles for J-Church riders in the area in the daytime and evening hours of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, according to Muni officials.
Starting at 9:30 p.m. each night, all service on the J-Church and N-Judah lines will be served by bus shuttles as a result of the repairs, Muni officials said.
Bus shuttles will also serve the J-Church line before Muni Metro service begins at 8 a.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, according to the agency.
The repairs are to an area where a 3-by-3-by-10-foot sinkhole was reported on the morning of Dec. 31. Crews initially made repairs to the sewer main and sinkhole and regular service resumed two days later.
