Officers responded Tuesday to the boathouse a 2999 Glascock St. on a reported the 300-pound statue was stolen overnight.
The life-size bronze statue depicts Berkeley crew coach Carrol ‘Ky’ Ebright, who coached Cal crew teams to three Olympic gold medals and multiple other championships in the early 20th century, police said.
The statue’s value is estimated at $80,000, and it was funded by Cal alumni donations.
