Dead body found at San Jose dump

San Jose police are investigating a report of a body found at a recycling facility Wednesday morning.

Officers responded shortly before 7:30 a.m. to a report of a body found at Newby Island Resource Recovery Park at 1601 Dixon Landing Road.

Although the address for the facility is in Milpitas, the area is considered to be within San Jose city limits, police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said.

The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has been called to the scene, Garcia said.

The case has not been classified as a homicide as of this morning, Garcia said.

No other details about the case were immediately available.
