Police arrested a woman on Tuesday, suspected of taking packages from Santa Rosa homes, after asking for the public’s help to find her.
Around 2:30 p.m. officers arrested the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Jennifer Welsh, according to police.
Officers were able to identify and locate Welsh at her Santa Rosa home from tips provided by residents after police released surveillance images of Welsh allegedly taking a package from the front porch of a residence on Cypress Way on Dec. 11, police said.
Although officers were unable to locate any of the stolen property, Welsh admitted to taking the package. Police arrested Welsh on suspicion of theft and booked her into the Sonoma County Jail.
