Man stabbed in Dolores Park

A man suffered multiple stab wounds in San Francisco’s Mission Dolores Park on Tuesday evening after he apparently refused to buy marijuana from a large group of male suspects and denied having any gang affiliations, police said.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was in the park with two other men in their early 20s around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when a group of between five and seven male suspects approached, according to police.

The suspects asked the victims if they wanted to buy marijuana, but the victims refused, police said.

Then, the suspects asked the victims if they were in a gang and when they said that they were not, the group of suspects attacked the 22-year-old victim.

He was stabbed with a knife in his torso and forearm, and was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

One of the other victims was robbed of his wallet during the attack, but it was later recovered, according to police.

No arrests have been made and the attack remains under investigation, police said.
