Cops storm medical clinic for violent suspect

A search is on this afternoon in San Carlos for a suspect police and sheriff’s officials consider armed and dangerous, a San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.

Deputies responded at about 12:30 p.m. to the Sutter Health San Carlos Urgent Care Center at 301 Industrial Road, sheriff’s office spokesman Detective Salvador Zuno said.

The suspect is suspected of domestic violence and fled from the City of San Mateo, Zuno said. The person may be hiding in the clinic, he said.

The California Highway Patrol, Belmont police and San Mateo police are also involved in the search, Zuno said.

Law enforcement officers evacuated the clinic and conducting a room-to-room search for the suspect, Zuno said.
