Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by taxi

A taxi struck a pedestrian in San Francisco’s Parkside neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to police.

The 33-year-old victim was in the crosswalk at the west side of the intersection of 32nd Avenue and Santiago Street around 1:50 a.m. Sunday when he was hit by the taxi, a white Toyota Prius, police said.

The victim was knocked unconscious and was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The taxi driver, a 68-year-old man, stopped at the scene and was not arrested, police said.
