A bicyclist struck and injured an elderly man walking across Market Street in San Francisco on Friday morning, police said today.
The collision was reported at 9:35 a.m. Friday at Market and Third streets. The 89-year-old pedestrian was walking north across Market when the eastbound 45-year-old bicyclist struck him, according to police.
Both the pedestrian and bicyclist fell to the ground and suffered head injuries from hitting the asphalt. They were both taken to the hospital and are expected to survive, police said.
No other information about the collision was immediately available this morning.
