Power outage darkens Bernal Heights area
Roughly 4,000 power customers in and around San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood lost electricity this morning after a PG&E equipment failure, according to utility officials.

Roughly 4,000 power customers in and around San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood lost electricity this morning after a PG&E equipment failure, according to utility officials.
The outage was reported at 8:32 a.m., after an unspecified equipment failure in the vicinity of 25th Street and Potrero Avenue. The cause of the equipment failure remains under investigation.
As of 10:30 p.m., PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said that service had been restored to all but 190 customers. There is currently no estimate for when those customers will have their power turned back on.
