SF man goes missing in London

Police in London are seeking a San Francisco man who has been missing since last week after he traveled to England for a job interview.

Josh Sanchez-Maldonado, 24, was last seen on Oct. 22 at around 12:35 p.m., leaving his hotel, the St. Giles Heathrow, in the city’s Feltham neighborhood, according to London’s Metropolitan Police Service.

Sanchez-Maldonado works as a trader and was in the city for a job interview, police said.

Sanchez-Maldonado arrived in London on a flight from Japan on Oct.

Sanchez-Maldonado was scheduled to fly to San Francisco from Heathrow Airport in London the same day he went missing, but did not board the flight, police said.

Family members of Sanchez-Maldonado have arrived in London to assist with the investigation, according to police.

“The whole family is highly concerned for his well being. We really wish he contacts us as soon as possible,” Sanchez-Maldonado’s family said in a statement. “Josh please contact us, your parents, your brother or sister through email, text, phone call or by any other means.” Sanchez-Maldonado is described as a white man around 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored flat cap, a brown and gray T-shirt, white shorts and black tennis shoes, according to police.
