A motorcyclist died this morning after a collision on westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The first report of the collision between the motorcyclist and a minivan came in at 9:18 a.m. on I-80 just east of Ashby Avenue, CHP officials said.
The motorcyclist died at a hospital, according to CHP officials. Two lanes of the highway were closed for about 90 minutes while the CHP investigated.
