Car with no plates hits Embarcadero bicyclist

A man suffered a shoulder injury as a result of being struck by a car on The Embarcadero in San Francisco Monday evening, police said.

The 38-year-old cyclist was riding south on The Embarcadero approaching Mission Street around 5:30 p.m. when a white Toyota Camry without license plates struck him, according to police.

The motorist, also traveling south on The Embarcadero, made a right turn onto Mission Street, striking the cyclist.

Police said the cyclist suffered a shoulder injury and was transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

San Francisco police have not said whether the motorist cooperated with the investigation, whether the motorist was cited, or why the vehicle didn’t have license plates.
