The Alameda County coroner’s bureau has confirmed a body found in Lake Del Valle near Livermore on Wednesday morning was a Salesforce IT contractor who went missing during a work retreat earlier this month.
Raghavendra Indugula, 31, of San Francisco, disappeared Oct. 2 while on a team-building excursion with his co-workers. He was part of a group being shuttled by boat between the Hetch Hetchy group picnic area and the lake’s marina, according to the East Bay Regional Park District.
There were seven other people in the 14-foot aluminum boat with Indugula when it started filling with water. The passengers jumped into the lake and swam to shore, but his colleagues realized once they got there that Indugula was missing.
Search crews scoured the lake for days but could find no sign of him. On Wednesday, a fisherman found him floating about a half-mile north of the marina, not far from where he had gone missing, park district officials said.
