Stranded boat bids farewell to Ocean Beach

A sailboat stranded on Ocean Beach on Monday was set to be removed by a salvage company Wednesday, according to the National Park Service.

The 36-foot sailboat became stranded on Monday afternoon, when National Park Service Rangers and U.S. Park Police responded to a report of a boat in distress off of Ocean Beach.

Two men and a dog were rescued from the boat with no injuries.

One of the men, a San Francisco resident, was arrested by rangers at the scene on outstanding warrants not related to the boat incident. The other man, a Texas resident, was not arrested.
