A man and a woman were killed and a relative taken into custody after what was described as a “brutal murder” at a mobile home park in Castro Valley Monday, Alameda County sheriff’s deputies said.
The double homicide occurred at Chetwood Crest Mobile Home Park at 3913 Castro Valley Blvd. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene at around 11:30 a.m. Monday and found the victims’ bodies in a trailer there.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Kelly could not disclose how the victims were murdered but he described it as a brutal scene.
A third person, a man related to the victims, was also found inside the mobile home, Kelly said.
He was detained immediately for questioning and has since been taken into custody, Kelley added.
Pending further investigation, sheriff’s deputies are withholding the release of more information.
