Trio escape injury in Oakland shooting

Three people escaped injury after multiple suspects shot at them this morning in Oakland, police said.

The first report of the shooting came in at about 11:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of 39th Avenue, Officer J. Moore said.

Police cordoned off the area because the victims said they saw the suspects go into an apartment complex nearby and police were searching the complex, Moore said.

Police were unable to locate the suspects, Moore said.
