A teenager from Antioch is expected to face criminal charges after a police pursuit from Danville to Orinda Saturday night, according to Danville police.
Danville police attempted to stop a truck hauling a trailer on Camino Tassjara in the vicinity of Old Blackhawk Road around 8:30 p.m.
Saturday after determining that the vehicle had been reported stolen.
The driver fled to a location on Moraga Road in Orinda where he bailed on foot with two passengers who’d been riding in the vehicle. All three suspects were detained, according to police.
The driver suffered minor injuries when apprehended by a K9 unit, police said.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle, reckless evasion and resisting arrest, according to police. Both passengers were released to their parents.
