A bicyclist was injured in a collision with a vehicle in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park Saturday night, police said Monday.
The bicyclist was riding west on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive shortly before 10:30 p.m. when the collision occurred, according to police.
The bicyclist entered the intersection at Crossover Drive and was struck by a driver in a black Mercedes C300 who was turning left from the eastbound lane of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
The bicyclist suffered a fractured back but is expected to survive his injuries. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, according to police.
The Mercedes driver remained at the scene following the collision.
