City officials in Fairfield have issued a Red Flag Closure for Rockville Hills Regional Park, Spyglass Open Space and the Serpas Ranch/Rolling Hills Open Space due to potential fire danger.
The closure was issued at 8 p.m. Thursday and due to current weather conditions posing high fire danger.
The closure will be in place until Saturday or until weather conditions subside.
A Red Flag warning occurs when the combination of high temperatures, winds and low humidity can lead to extremely dangerous fire conditions.
