First responders are looking for a missing camper in the vicinity of Angel Island, off the coast of Tiburon, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
Wouter Van Lier is described as a white man with brown hair and blue eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds. Van Lier was last seen around 1 a.m. this morning on his boat, which is moored at Angel Island.
Coast Guard officials say they’re deploying a helicopter to assist in the search.
Other agencies involved in this evening’s search include Marin County Search and Rescue, Tiburon police, and the South Marin Fire Protection District, according to sheriff’s deputies.
