Police and firefighters responded at 6:08 p.m. to 630 Summerfield Road to a report of a body in the water north of the boat launch, according to police.
A person walking in the area saw the body and called police, officers said.
Firefighters recovered the body of a man in his 60s and police did not see any obvious signs of injury, police said.
The man’s identity will be released when the coroner notifies his family of his death, police said.
