Three injured in SF playground shooting

One person is fighting for his life in the hospital, and two others are injured after a shooting at Crocker Amazon Playground Friday, according to San Francisco police.

Police said the three victims were playing cards in the park shortly before 7 p.m. when the shooting occurred.

Three men were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with gunshot wounds. One man had a gunshot wound to his arm and another to his foot.

The third victim, a 40-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and was in surgery Friday evening with life-threatening injuries, police said.

It does not appear that any children were in the area at the time of the shooting, police said.

The suspect remains at large and anyone with information is asked to call police at (415) 575-4444 or to text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
