One brother was killed and one injured in a shooting in Pacheco Thursday afternoon, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the first block of Dalton Court in Pacheco just before 1 p.m. today on a report of a shooting, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Jimmy Lee.
Deputies arriving on the scene found one man with a gunshot wound, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.
A second man found with gunshot wounds was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Lee said.
Lee said the two men were brothers and the shooting was not a random act. Their identities have not yet been released and the shooting remains under investigation.
