Vallejo police have identified a man who was found dead last Friday morning on train tracks below a street as James Michael Souza, 46, of Vallejo.
Souza had been shot and appeared to have been dead for at least 10 hours, Capt. John Whitney said.
Police responded at about 9:15 a.m. Friday to a report of a dead body on train tracks below Sacramento Street near Yolo Avenue.
Lt. Herman Robinson said today there is no description of a suspect or vehicle possibly involved in the homicide.
